Saalbach - Hinterglemm - The region
SalzburgerLand and the Tirol offer fantastic opportunities to enjoy the alpine life in a stylish and relaxed way, which is typical of most Austrian ski resorts. Most of the famous white slopes are to be found at the south of the SalzburgerLand region where the ski areas offer excellent conditions for beginners as well as the more experienced skiers and snowboarders, and the white powder is guaranteed almost every year.
The Alpine regions of SalzburgerLand and South Tyrol boast a spectacular Alpine playground with craggy peaks, verdant pastures and frothy mountain rivers that all represent the picturesque Austria. The areas offer everything from the city of Salzburg, the jewel of World Cultural Heritage, the lush Alpine meadow of Hohe Tauern National Park where the Badgastein resort is located, to the mighty glaciers of Kaprun and Grossglockner. This combined with a climate which is quite unique and extraordinarily healthy make the Austrian Alps a very popular destination.

The region of SalzburgerLand alone offers no less than 1700 kilometres of slopes and an amazing 580 lifts shared between the 22 different ski regions. If you are not yet convinced about the joy of Alpine skiing there are plenty of the Nordic disciplines available as well.
