SalzburgerLand and the Tirol offer fantastic opportunities to enjoy the alpine life in a stylish and relaxed way, which is typical of most Austrian ski resorts. The areas offer everything from the city of Salzburg, the jewel of World Cultural Heritage, the lush Alpine meadow of Hohe Tauern National Park where the Badgastein resort is located, to the mighty glaciers of Kaprun and Grossglockner. This combined with a climate which is quite unique and extraordinarily healthy make the Austrian Alps a very popular destination.

The region of SalzburgerLand alone offers no less than 1700 kilometres of slopes and an amazing 580 lifts shared between the 22 different ski regions. If you are not yet convinced about the joy of Alpine skiing there are plenty of the Nordic disciplines available as well. You can enjoy a leisurely cross-country excursion or go ice skating or even cruising. The ice skaters usually speed through the beautiful winter landscapes while cruisers head out across the fields in a more relaxed tempo.
